The first announcements are starting to come out of CES 2009, and ezGear has announced that they release their first Blu-ray Disc player, the BluCobra EZ3000. This BonusView Blu-ray player supports many of the same features as more expensive players, except at a much lower price. Besides supporting Blu-ray and DVD video formats, the player also supports SACD, a welcome addition for audiophiles. Video is output at 1080p24, but 1080i, 720p, and 480i are also supported. The player can decode both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless audio formats, and transmit the sound to your receiver by either the 7.1 analog or HDMI v1.3 outputs. The player will be available this March for $399 or less. The player will be on display at CES this year, and we'll hopefully have some hands-on test sometime next week.
