Motorola AURA: The Ultimate Desire

Motorola has launched a new handset -- AURA -- in India. Classic design, the world's first 16 million colour, circular display with 300 dpi resolution in the mobile phone industry help AURA deliver a sensory experience that is second to none for those with refined tastes, says the company.
In its stainless steel housing, textures and patterns chemically etched into its surface, AURA is capped with a Grade 1, 62-carat sapphire crystal lens – one of the most scratch-resistant materials on earth.
"We are delighted to offer AURA to Indian consumers with its luxurious design, artistry and sensory experience," said Faisal Siddiqui, head, India operations, mobile devices, Motorola. "AURA is Motorola's latest high-tier mobile device targeted at the trend-setter Indian who has a taste for the exquisitely stylish, unrivalled quality and sensuous luxury."
The Swiss-made main bearing, gears composed of Rockwell 50-55 hardened steel and 130 precision ball bearings work in tandem to drive the assisted-opening blade. AURA's custom-engineered rotating mechanism is composed of more than 200 high-precision individual parts, and the gears are protected from harsh conditions with the same coatings used in high-performance racing engines. Motorola's CrystalTalk technology takes AURA to the highest level of audio clarity on every call, while Stereo Bluetooth technology enables AURA owners to make and take phone calls hands free by pairing with a compatible headset.
AURA will be available from mid-March 2009 at exclusive premium luxury stores and select modern retail chain outlets at a Rs 1,11,492
