Eveready Launches New Range Of Batteries
Eveready has launched a new range of batteries called Eveready Ultima to cater to the growing usage of power hungry gadgets by the urban youth,reported efytimes.The company has also launched a series of products in the space of alternate lighting solutions, called Eveready Homelite, developed through R&D efforts and based on understanding of the needs of the rural/semi-urban consumer. Also adding to the stable is a range of 2500 and 2700 series rechargeable batteries that Eveready came out with recently.
Eveready Ultima batteries are Alkalline type dry cell batteries and come in AA, AAA and 9–Volt sizes. These batteries are best suited for power-hungry new age gadgets like digital cameras, remote controlled toys, certain MP3 players, high-end portable audio-recording systems as well as for a range of medical equipments used in hospitals. A set of two Eveready Ultima AA size batteries is capable of lasting for more than 200 clicks on a standard digital camera. It is offered at an MRP of Rs 30 per pair (of AA or AAA batteries)
Eveready Homelite is a battery-operated LED based lamp for in-house use. Compared to a kerosene lantern, Eveready HomeLITE offers three-four times the light of a kerosene lantern; push button; convenient dual handle; long-lasting durable ABS body; and up to 80-90 hours of light on one set of batteries, the company quipped. Priced at Rs 350, it is beneficial for children to study during power cuts and for the lady to use while cooking or doing other household work.
Eveready has also launched a range of 2500 and 2700 series rechargeable batteries based on Nickel Metal Hydride technology. These are also targeted towards high-end power hungry devices like digital cameras, MP3/MP4 players, high-end toys, etc. They come along with an ‘Intelligent’ charger which can charge both NiMH and NiCd types AA/AAA rechargeable batteries and has individual LED indicators to indicate charge level.
