By using OAuth for Twitter, and Facebook Connect, Trapster safely integrates with social sites for real-time sharing without requiring users to hand over their login credentials. Users can now automatically feed their new traps or trips to Twitter and Facebook.
Tweets include geocode data and a link to view the trap or trip on a map, while wall posts include trap or trip information, map view, a link to the actual trap or trip, and support comments and likes.
Users can follow @mytraps and send a direct message with a zip code to get the most recent trap created in that area, along with a link to view all speed traps on map. On the flip side, users can also report a new live police trap by DMing @mytraps with the speed trap location.
