Apple knows all the business tricks. The company know how to sell the same product again and again. It is the third instalment of iPhone where Apple is harvesting the cash crop. The simple game which Apple is playing with iPhone is -- instead of launching a mighty, all powerful iPhone, deliver features in new versions. This way you will be able to temp the old buyers to upgrade to new models, dumping their old ones in the trash can and also create buzz every time you launch a new version of the iPhone reports efytimes.
This year also the same thing happened. Apple today introduced the new iPhone 3G S, which it claims to be the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet [how many iPhone are their anyway?], packed with incredible new features including improved speed and performance -- up to twice as fast as iPhone 3G [same thing was said when iPhone 3G was launched, as if rest of the product by competitors get slower in new versions] with longer battery life, a high-quality 3 megapixel autofocus camera, easy to use video recording and hands free voice control.
iPhone 3G S includes the new iPhone OS 3.0 with over 100 new features such as Cut, Copy and Paste, MMS, Spotlight Search, landscape keyboard and more [this could have been done in the previous model, but Apple did not want the market to saturate]. iPhone 3G S customers get access to more than 50,000 applications from App Store.
The iPhone 3G S (16GB) is priced at $199 and a new 32GB model comes at $299. In addition, iPhone 3G is now available at the price of $99 for the 8GB model.
